FAQs/General Info
~How long will it take to receive my order?
I endeavour to dispatch ready made items within 4 working days of purchase. I use tracked Royal Mail services to the UK and internationally. Please note this will not apply to the delivery of any Made to Order items as they need to be made first! See below
~How long do Made to Order items take to make and dispatch?
My current lead times for Made to Order items can be found on the 'Updates' page.
This includes the time it takes to reach a UK destination (longer for international orders).
This completely depends on design, stone choice and whether the item will be over the required hallmarking weight.
From the point of design agreement and 50% deposit received. This includes the time it takes to reach a UK destination (longer for international orders). I will let you know once the item is made and ready to dispatch.
However, please note, if I have to source particular stones for your custom piece, this will increase the lead time.

~Do I have to have my order oxidised?
I tend to oxidise areas of my pieces as this helps to highlight details such as stamp work and can contribute to enhancing the look of the stones. However, if you would like a piece made without oxidisation please get in touch. Note: this only applies to MTO/custom items as it can't fully be removed once it is applied to Ready to Ship items. I will specify if an item has been oxidised in the description.
❁Returns❁
You may return ready made items within 14 days of receiving them if you change your mind. The items must be returned in their original condition. Please reuse the protective box you received your order in.
Made to order sized pieces (rings) and custom designed pieces cannot be returned.
❁Thayva Designs is not held responsible for any loss or damage to your item once it has been shipped❁
~Which size do I need?
❁Rings~
To get your ring size you can pop into a local jeweller and ask them to size your finger for you. Please note that ring sizers are not standardised therefore there is usually a slight discrepancy between different sizers used and conversion charts.
To be more certain:
You can find a ring you have already in the size you want one made to and measure the inside diameter.
To do this it needs to be as accurate reading as possible. I will then convert that to a UK/US size.
You need a ruler (better than a tape measure), you place the ring so that the inside edge on the left starts on 0, you then measure to the other inside edge on the right. Take a photo and we can discuss the size conversion.
See example below:
❁Bangles~
To measure for a bangle you need to measure your hand not your wrist as it needs to fit over your hand in the first place!
To do this you need a soft tape measure (sewing tape). It would be easier if you could do this with someone. You need to tuck you thumb into your palm as you would when putting on a bangle and measure round the widest part of the hand to get a diameter measurement.
❁Cuffs~
To measure for a cuff you just need the full circumference of your wrist. Please see individual listings for my recommendations for that particular piece.
